the service was slow, we waited 45 minutes for a wine menu (after asking three times). our candle melted wax over the table, it was taken away and not returned until i asked for a replacement (to add ambiance).

We stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary and enjoyed everything. plenty of staff were available and each person we spoke with was attentive and kind, in a relaxed way. our anniversary was noted several times. (It).

having booked weeks in advance, i received an email hours before our check-in. it stated they could not accommodate us in the restaurant and booked us elsewhere. after numerous emails, (it) transpired that they could accommodate a vegetarian menu, fine with me.

the hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. i saw well worth a stroll around the hotel even if you don't play golf. breakfast had so much choice, i wanted to return again and again to try it all. my room was luxurious with those little extras .

i didn't get the starter i ordered even though the waiter repeated my order before leaving the table. they double charged the credit card for the room, taking over €800. it took a number of calls and a few days to get refunded onto the card.
